Pilates in Hoboken and New York
Private and small-group sessions with Kelly Stevenson. Slower than you'd expect, harder than it looks, and built around what your body can do today. Booking opens this autumn, when certification completes. Until then, the first step is a free 20-minute intro call — pick a time that suits you.
What I teach
Reformer and mat, private or in a small group of two to four. Beginner-safe, always: most people here have never touched a reformer, or are coming back after a break, a baby or an injury.
- Posture
Undoing what a desk does to shoulders, neck and hips.
- Strength
Core and full-body work that holds up outside the studio.
- Mobility
Range you can actually use, no gymnastics required.
- Desk recovery
The neck, shoulders and hips of people who sit for a living. The body I had for a decade.
- Beginners & returning
Never touched a reformer? That's a fine place to start.
- Pre & postnatalin training
Pregnancy and the fourth trimester. Pursuing the additional certification this work requires.
Meet Kelly
Hi, I'm Kelly. I teach Pilates in Hoboken and New York, mostly to people who want to feel stronger and move better in everyday life.
A session is an hour, just you and me, on the reformer and the mat. We start with what your body is doing that day and work from there. It's slower than you'd expect and harder than it looks.
Before this: nearly a decade in tech, a college athlete and dancer, and four years on the reformer as a client before deciding to teach it. More about me.
Balanced Body is featuring Kelly's certification story. The piece is coming soon; the link will live here when it's published.

Common questions
Do I need any experience?
No. Most people start having never touched a reformer. Every session is built around what your body can do today.
Private or small group?
Start private if you're new, recovering from something, or want specific work on posture. Small group is good once you know the movements and want the energy of company.
What should I wear and bring?
Fitted clothing you can move in and grippy socks. Everything else is provided.
Where do sessions happen?
Hoboken and New York City. The exact studio is confirmed with your booking.
What if I need to cancel?
When booking opens: free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours the session is charged, with the usual exceptions for illness and emergencies.
When does booking actually open?
Paid sessions open when comprehensive certification completes, autumn 2026. The free intro call is bookable online right now, and that's the best first step.
Not ready yet? Follow along
Most people read for a while first. That's fine.
